“Safety certifications include 2MOPP/250Vac medical for ‘B’ or ‘BF’ applications to IEC/EN/ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1, as well as IEC/EN 62368-1, IEC/EN 60335-1 and IEC/EN 61558-1 for industrial, test and measurement, IT and household use, all to 4000m altitude,” it said, adding: “EN 55032/35 ‘Class B’ EMC emissions limits are met with a good margin.”
The series, called RACM130E-K, operates across 85 to 264Vac and comes in versions with outputs of 12, 15, 24, 36 or 48Vdc. Output is 130W peak, or continuously with airflow “from this tiny ac-dc footprint while maintaining comprehensive safety certification”, said company product manger Michael Schrutka.
Efficiency is around 90%, maintained to lighter loads for ErP compliance, and no-load losses are less than 200mW at 230Vac.
Operating range is -40 to +90°C, with derating from 50°C to 25% load at max temperature, and there is also ≥10% derating if they are mounted vertical or upside-down with natural convection cooling, plus operation below 103Vac requires derating to 120W.
On-board dual input fusing is included, and the parts are suitable for installation in surge Class 3 and over-voltage category OVC III environments.
Size is 101 x 51 x 32, and the versions with the optional metallic enclosure (…/ENC versions) are 118 x 63 x 39mm
