Component distributor Luso is stocking a 320W low-profile panel-mount ac-dc power supply for household appliances, vending machines, control cabinets and test equipment.
Part of Delta’s PMR series, the PSUs have ventilated aluminium covers and are 215 x 115 x 30mm – although the fan input means that air flow space needs to be provided above the 30mm.
Four versions are available: providing outputs of 12, 24, 36, or 48V.
Operation is over 90-264Vac, 47-63Hz and -30 to +70°C (-40°C cold start is supported). Above 50°C, power needs to be de-rated by 2%/°C, and under 100Vac de-rating is 1%/V – so 90% load at 90Vac)
Input current is typically 3.8A from 115Vac or 1.8A from 230Vac. Max inrush is typically 50A from 230Vac. Efficiency varies by model but peaks above 90% in all cases.
No-load power is under 500mW and active power factor correction is built in.
Protections include: over-voltage (latching, SELV output), over-temperature (latching), over-current and short-circuit (both non-latching hiccough auto-recovery).
Isolation is 4kVac input to output, 2kVac input to ground and 1.25kVac output to ground.
The supplies conform to IEC/EN 60335-1, IEC/EN 61558-1 and IEC/EN 61558-2-16 household appliance standards and “obtains harmonic current IEC/EN 61000-3-2 Class A and Class D, shock and vibration standard IEC 60068-2, IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 for ICT, and EMI standard EN 55032 Class B”, said Luso.
Expected capacitor lifetime is 10 years at 230Vac, half load and 40°C.
