The 2560 x 1440 resolution is versatile, the preferred choice of many for both content creation and consumption. The BenQ PD2506Q of the DeisgnVue series is designed with the former in mind, with a 25″ screen size that’s a bit more compact and provides a higher pixel density than the more common 27″ size. The monitor has a smart and modern design with dark matte materials used extensively, including a low-profile rectangular stand base and cylindrical stand neck. The bezels are quite slim at all sides, with a dual stage bezel including panel border flush with the rest of the screen plus slim hard plastic outer part. The OSD (On Screen Display) is controlled by a joystick and shortcut buttons at the rear of the screen, towards the right side as viewed from the front.

A 25″ IPS-type panel is employed with 2560 x 1440 (WQHD or 1440p) resolution, 60Hz refresh rate and matte anti-glare screen surface. A 1000:1 static contrast ratio is specified, alongside 178°/178° viewing angles and 8-bit colour. The monitor includes a Pantone validated and Calman verified factory calibration with DeltaE ≤3 specified, alongside a Uniformity Compensation (UC) setting. A flicker-free WLED backlight provides a 350 cd/m² typical maximum luminance (400 cd/m² HDR peak) and 95% DCI-P3 colour space coverage, with an sRGB emulation setting included. The company’s usual flexible and well-balanced Low Blue Light (LBL) settings are included to promote greater viewing comfort. The monitor responds to HDR10 content in a basic way, with VESA DisplayHDR 400 support. This allows the monitor to put its fairly generous gamut to good use alongside 10-bit colour support, but doesn’t require a high brightness by HDR standards or local dimming to enhance contrast.

A 5ms grey to grey response time is specified, which as usual can be misleading. The stand attaches centrally via a quick-release mechanism and can be easily detached to reveal provision for 100 x 100mm VESA mounting. The included stand is fully adjustable, including 110mm (4.33 inches) height adjustment and pivot into portrait. The ports mainly face downwards and include; AC power (internal power converter), HDMI 2.0, DP 1.4, DP out (for MST daisy chaining), USB-C (65W PD, DP Alt Mode, upstream data), 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and USB-B upstream. At the right side, as viewed from the front, there’s a USB-C downstream port, third USB 3.2 Gen 1 port and 3.5mm headphone jack. KVM functionality is supported, allowing easy input switching and USB peripheral sharing between 2 systems. 2 x 2.5W speakers are also included for basic sound output.
