EM PRO mini – An Efficient and Fanless eNUC-BoxPC with AMD Ryzen R110


E.E.P.D, an embedded systems manufacturer in Germany, has released the EM PRO mini PC designed in the embedded NUC standard and powered by an AMD Ryzen embedded R1102G dual-core processor. With a TDP of only 6W, excellent efficiency, and a powerful integrated graphics unit, the new eNUC-BoxPC is considered a great option for commercial applications as well as secure and reliable corporate communication.

The mini PC interestingly packs a large number of powerful interfaces in a really small space (about 117 mm x 115 mm x 51 mm in size). The system features up to two mini display ports (mDP up to 4096 x 2160 @ 60 Hz), three USB 3.1 Gen1, up to 2 SATA or NVMe SSD, one microSD, up to 16GB DDR4 RAM, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, a high-quality, integrated automotive power supply of 8V to 32V suitable for automotive and robotic applications and a temperature range of 0 to 50°C that can be extended on request.

The fanless communication unit is widely applicable in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Robotics and mobile systems, automation, measurement technology, and IoT. The company notes that the rear USB port can accommodate the EM-I/O interface modules which can expand the system with various interface options such as CAN, GPIO, relays, LTE/UMTS, etc.
