Microsoft completes its $19.7 Billion acquisition of AI speech tech company Nuance


Microsoft Corp has announced that is has completed the acquisition of Nuance, after the $19.7 billion deal to acquire the company was announced in April last year. “This will enable organizations across industries to accelerate their business goals with our security-focused, cloud-based solutions infused with powerful, vertically optimized AI,” said Microsoft.

Customers will benefit from enhanced consumer, patient, clinician and employee experiences, and ultimately improved productivity and financial performance.

As announced earlier, Mark Benjamin will remain CEO of Nuance and report to Microsoft Cloud + AI group Executive Vice President Scott Guthrie.
