Siglent has announced a spectrum analyser and a RF generator for use at 20GHz to support X and K-band measurement.
SSA5085A (right) is the spectrum analyser, which works across 9kHz to 26.5GHz and offers -165dBm/Hz DANL and 105dBc/Hz phase noise, according to the company.
Options include analogue and digital modulation analysis, and demodulation, including for AM, FM, ASK, FSK, PSK, MSK, QAM. “It intuitively measures EVM, other transmission quality factors and features eye-diagram and constellation graphing modes,” said Siglent.
Another option is a real-time mode for capturing intermittent signals with a bandwidth up to 40MHz, and yet another option is EMI pre-compliance measurement – bandwidth and functions can be upgraded after the purchase.
The RF-microwave signal generator is the SSG5085A (left), which works up to 20GHz.
Claimed phase noise is -120dBc/Hz “and power control make it ideal for the use as a high frequency local oscillator in applications like radar, quantum physics and RF component verification”, said the company.
It can also be used as a source for the company’s SSG5000X-V vector signal generator when communication module testing.
Frequency and level sweep functions are available, and pulse signal generation is included as standard. Third-party USB power sensors can be controlled for cable loss compensated sourcing.
SSA5083A and SSG5083A are similar instruments, both limited to 13.6GHz.
